Home of Graham Sullivan

Just a block from the bustle of Bourbon Street, this Creole cottage may look run-down, but its interiors are surprisingly glamorous. The 1,811-square-foot cottage has one bedroom and two bathrooms. The master bathroom, which overlooks a tiny courtyard, features a rain shower and a Japanese soaking tub. The home dates back to the 19th century when it was first owned by a free woman of color.

Appraisal: $1,050,000

Home of Lorenzo Moretti

The property where the house would be built was originally owned by Ursuline nuns, who sold off parcels of their land in 1825. The home was built a year later in 1826. The design combines elements of a Creole cottage with Greek Revival features, including a Palladian façade. In particular, Creole forms were used in the interior and on the rear elevation, as well as a cabinet gallery and detached outbuildings, while maintaining the American tradition of a central hall. In 1833 the adjoining garden was added. It has been owned by the Moretti family for generations now.

Appraisal: $3,500,000
